At Carving Out A Living, our mission is to showcase the variety of chainsaw/power tool carved artwork from local Montana wood. Brent Passwater has always had an interest in woodcarving from an early age, but only recently decided to carve out a living doing what he loves.

Founded in 2024 by artist Brent Passwater, Carving Out A Living has high ambitions of being that go to chainsaw artist that is willing to tackle the challenging projects.  Brent's background in mechanical engineering will be beneficial in visualizing the required structure and opportunities available within a piece of wood.
